{"id":817,"date":"2022-02-15T18:20:06","date_gmt":"2022-02-15T17:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interface-compassion-internationale.org\/?page_id=817"},"modified":"2026-05-13T09:35:36","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T07:35:36","slug":"events-2022","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/interface-compassion-internationale.org\/index.php\/events-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Events 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Discover the different actions of the association Interface Compassion Internationale over the year 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kinga Jamii Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kinga Jamii means \u201cProtect the Family\u201d in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, awarded in 2024 to Dr. Denis Mukwege, we are able to launch this project to assist vulnerable women and children who are victims of armed conflict in eastern South Kivu, specifically in the Kalehe territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will cover the following activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Distribution of hygiene kits and food supplies to 30 vulnerable women and 30 vulnerable children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awareness sessions on reproductive health and hygiene.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical follow-up for beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project will last 6 months and is organized by our association ICI Belgium and ICI-DRC. They have dried and been fired, resulting in a set of sample bricks for the construction of the test wall.<br>The results are conclusive and have been approved by our architect. An external assessment has reassured us of the quality of our bricks compared to those produced locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Everything is falling into place for the construction of the above-ground walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"538\" height=\"495\" src=\"https:\/\/interface-compassion-internationale.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/walltest-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1051\" srcset=\"https:\/\/interface-compassion-internationale.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/walltest-1.jpg 538w, https:\/\/interface-compassion-internationale.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/walltest-1-300x276.jpg 300w, https:\/\/interface-compassion-internationale.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/walltest-1-350x322.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 538px) 100vw, 538px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The test wall on our construction site of Kalehe.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bookmark-action\">Easter for the children of Kivu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In early April, we received a donation of 1,000 euros from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. The purpose of this donation was to provide an Easter meal for the children of Kivu. The orphans of Kalehe enjoyed an Easter meal. The children of Panzi, meanwhile, will be treated to a special meal at Pentecost, after their school exams, as meals had already been arranged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This same donor had previously enabled these children to enjoy a Christmas meal in December 2025.
